help MK1 26k miles mint whats it worth

Hi all i have been offered to bid on a 1.3 c golf mk1 26k miles fsh one owner. I have a campain GTI so the chap two doors down has asked I would be interested in his dads car as he has passed away
As only having GTIs I'm Lost what shall I offer it is pale blue and perfect condition
Please help

Ouch that's a tough one!!

In the circumstances you don't want to take the mic, depends if they know what it's worth I guess?

If it's really mint maybe start at £1.5-2k and go from there, but I guess only you'll know how low you can push it

Keep us posted how you get on and good luck in the purchase ;)

That sounds a great buy. Not many of those about now and certainly not with 26k on the clock.

As Hairy says start £1500 - £2000 and see what he thinks. Maybe even a cheeky £1000 if he doesn't know about the car!

i would try him at £1000 and then work your way up, i know someone who maybe interested in this!

Can you get some pics when you pop round be nice to see it, sounds nice

Agreed I would go in at 1k and see what happens mate. Maybe even lower depending on what you think he knws about the car and its value and what you think? You can always go up :)

I'd say anywhere up from 2.5k-3.5k if it really IS mint… come on guys lol we all know the truth  :lol:  :lol:

Good luck tho if you get if for anything under two grand and it doesn;t need any welding, your onto a winnder I reckon!

If it had the roundy bit on the other side of the car and AAA+ condition then that would make between 8K & 10K in Germany all day long!
As I've said many times, Mk1's and really special ones like that, the prices are going through the roof in Germany.

Simply because they are like Chickens teeth, hard to find!  :o
