Burnt Out

milky said

sorry to hear that mate, there's some horrible people in this world. if you need a posse to go hunt the little buggers give me a call.

hope you get it all sorted.

As tempting as that is I'd just be happy to find a replacement

Keeping fingers crossed that some old lady dies locally, and they discover one in pristine condition in her perfectly dry and warm, shed.. Does that sound a bit cruel?

Nah! You just need to catch it before the dumb family member comes along and scraps it.

They left it where it was of course, why would the fire service attend a flaming car with a full tank of petrol right next to someones house?

Suppose it saves you the hassle of dropping engine out etc and having to do it all again, convenient little buggers ain't they, just when your planning a major job, they take the thing, chavs.
Thou have to admit bodywork was needing alot of tlc and new engine you would have been sorted, suppose insurance will work out better for you in the end

Yes, any pics, Mad?
I know it is not nice, but it is done and anyone who has had this happen i.e terms of a fire have posted their mk1 burnt out, or has it been to much of an experience to cope with.
Don't worry fella once insurance pays out you'll find a replacement, get a proper mk1 the CITI also now going to be a classic as they have stopped production of them and going to be a very sought after car

Erm yeah Pete   I doubt the insurance will work out better coz, well you know it never actually does, and well I've still got the engine sat in my front room, still got that job to do…

You won't get any pictures coz their arn't any…  Its not like I have anything to prove…   and also it not like there was anything to take a picture of….

Got a new one coming, probably saturday before I give it a good thrashing..

*edit* and yeah Pete, quite painful it was one of the things me and my dad used to work on together, had it a loooong time, and don't really see that much of him these days.
