Perhaps some images will help. I am a pic whore so here is a few to discuss
That is one of the nicest golfs I have seen
If I ever get around to doing a project, brown is the colour!

Another pic of the Fittapaldi rims, steel wheels on the Jetta and E30 BBS on a Mk1, I assume they are the E30 rims due to the offset on the front?
HTN very nice. TBH these look a little like Rota Rims you find on the Civics in the US

Uk http://www.rarerims.co.uk/alloys_sub2.asp?id=30
And not very expensive

You should have responded with 'its a pity your troops don't think the same as you'

does my head in. find some random (ok maybe not totally random but not many people run them) wheels and then you cant find any for sale. no wonder BBS are so common with loads for sale everywhere
Common is an overly used word, popular is more appropriate, expensive and very nice is also usually associated
usually cost more than a 1.1 for a nice refurbed set too

I was looking at white (due to my car) but you can have them in a range of colours from the factory, black, red, pearl black, white, silver etc. Including a range of offsets and PCD
Renault turbo 2 wheels
Intergrale wheels
These wheels are all made by Compomotive and mostly for Motorsport use so you are not getting poor heavy copies, but lightweight strong wheels.
Anyway if you are after something a little different here are the links
