are these as rare as people say thay are?

For what it's worth…I think the really rare ones are for two door cars - the four door sets are fairly common (actually, not that common…all Mk1's are rare now!) because I think they were fitted to most of the upmarket 4 door Golfs and diesels.

Now hen's teeth…they are rare!

Yeh, never see 'em for 3 doors. I don't think they were fitted to diesels as standard though (pretty sparse interior, being a Golf C!) But yes, CL's GX's etc with posher door cards.

True - i once did get a set for a two door about eighteen years ago ( )…but I've never seen any since - they're nice, if only because they make the door top wide enough to rest your elbow on!

..I've since perfected the 'elbow rest mod' which is definitely for old farts only, but makes driving much more comfortable!
