Anyone interested in having one of these kits?

Possibly re-released and about time, next time i am chatting to the owner of kamei i will ask him as they got delayed by a long time.

Should have come out ages ago though proud to know i had a part in them ever coming back out if these are the official ones :-)

They are re released, they changed the box art slightly with the script.

Turned out to be a nightmare over a year in the doing and I thought I was slow lol.

I had to cancel the motors I had on order as the kit became obsolete.
No good without the kits to go in, but that's another argument.

These were on order for ages and I didn't expect an e mail for payment lol. Caught me on the hop lol.

If there is enough interest I will look at getting some more in, as it is there all SOLD Now.

So start a new list please if interested.

Lol it took over a year on order and under a week to deliver….!!!!!!! lol.

So Thanks Fellas.

These are still made with the 1978 moulding tools as well.

Just had a look at one.

The Motor stuff has been deleted too.

yes they still had the tooling iirc, Uwe was telling me that he asked them about the possibility of them being remade about 2 yrs ago.

maybe we can get other scale ones released.

I am still trying to chase up with them the original two artworks they produced on the boxes and the artists.

maybe something for the future.

Don't forget when you get your kit to take a look in our kamei racing golf history thread for LOTS of reference material, you might be able to make a good display using some of the pics in there.

No problem at the moment fella.
Hobby co are trade distributors, so I would need an account and a minimum spend which I am unlikely to reach on a monthly basis.

Getting them from abroad is my best bet as I can order as many or few as I want.
They do look rather good built up.

Cheers for the info and input.

I there's a thing the box has officially liscensed by VW and Castrol gave permission to allow them to use the trade mark logo. This happens a lot with the kits as the manufacturer doesn't all ways want to pay the liscense fee.

If you like these i would try to get a spirit one too as they come in a display case and are a slotcar version, look quite nice.

Talking models I had another cool model given to me at brand hatch from Uwe the owner of the kamei brand.

Another kamei lorry (have 2 now):

real kamei/nothelle lorry:

model - sadly no kamei/nothelle audi coupe:

Here are 2 model box illustrations:

Random! The link is ages old so it won't work as the listing ended last year.

These are a specific and specialist model of the golf GTI tin top.
