Any Meets around leeds / york???

Does anyone meet up around Leeds York area??

Car has MOT now so starting to look forward to getting out in the MK1.

Where abouts are you from mate? I am from Bradford and hope to have my Mk1 cabrio on the road for Feb/March. Would be good to see if we can help each other. What Golf do you have?

I'm in Selby 1.3 driver in gold in need of a respray most of the lacquer has come off, she's running just got to do the timing belt and replace the heater blower. Few rust issues to sort.

Got to setup the timing properly on the to do list

There used to be a meet at Squires Cafe, Sherburn.  Tried to find a contact for you but struggling… I'm only in Howden so might see you around.

Im in Scarborough, but I come through to York quite a bit. Would be glad to meet up

Hi Matt,

There is a few vw's that meet up at Allerthorpe Lake, nr Pocklington (East of York) every now and then over the Summer months. It would be good to see more MK1's there  

I'll post more details if anyone is interested.

sherbun and Allerthorpe Lake sounds good, Alice my wife works at howden junior school, and my kids go there.
I have pick them up in the golf a few times, nice drive from selby lol

Goldie is running well, i have just a few bits to swap and need to get the timing spot on but I went to leeds on the m62 today and she was great, alltho the 4 speed box makes me sound like im trying to race everyone at 80mph.

Not sure im going to make next week at skipton as I have a few jobs todo.
