Sweet thanks! I know physically they're the same but thought the 1.6 might run a little less fuel pressure so wasn't sure, I assume it will fot my airbox too?volkswarren said

There are differences but you wont notice, it will run no bother

Yeah, I once ran a 1.6 metering head on my 1.8, ran fine.

if you fit the right late 1.6 air metering flap to match it will be fine, alter 1.6 used same metering head as DX but different flap housing to compensate 049133471H

I've fitted the 1.8 unit and got the car running at last I'm happy to report, I still have the 1.6 head so could swap that over at some point, is the whole arm different or just the round disc?rubjonny said

if it runs fine then I'd not worry, the difference is the profile of the cone in the air metering unit, this compensates for the slightly different fuel delivery rate on the 1.8 fuel metering head.
But yeah, if it drives great then no need to worry about it
