The Vin number is usually on a plackard that is affixed to the drivers side Dash, seen through the windscreen.

There is also the Stamping on the body at the rain tray.  But it is known to have ZZZZs in some of the places.

Edge of the drivers door, and or "B" Pillar frame.
Your vin should start with WVW…

Lastly in the trunk there is a build sheet that is affixed to the Strut BAR tie.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

I dont think you will find one in the window of a UK mk1 Cab, and if its a 82 its touch and go if its in the boot on a data sticker, this came in around sept 1982.

They did the one on the dash for North America for some reason.

If you look at Mark's first and second pictures, that's for UK produced cars.

My Austrian 1990 Mk1 has the first but not the second!
