Anyone know what I need?

A while back I picked up a Weber 34 ich kit for a 1.5/1.6 mk1 golf im wondering what I need to swap it over into my 1.1l golf as j know the Weber 34ich is a usual upgrade from the solex  mines came with and if anyone knows the correct size jets I would need for the 1.1l engine in my mk1, do I need a different manifold, I've heard a k and n air filter needs to be added to the Weber as well, any help would be much appreciated as it's not running great with the solex

Don't specifically know about your application but I've just converted my CIS 1989 cabriolet to twin Webber side draft carbs. If you don't have CIS injection system and you already running a carb then your fuel pump is prob good for the new Webber carb but might be worthwhile to check. You should also prob check what the Webber needs pressure wise. My side drafts need about 3 psi so all the high pressure CIS fuel stuff on my car had to come out. I could have used a bigger regulator and reg'd it down but I would be coming down from 150psi to 3psi so didn't make sense for me so I pulled it out and started fresh. Like I said since you already running a carb you prob good there but need to check. I also got a malpasi fuel regulator to maintain the pressure not sure if you got one or need one but might be worthwhile checking for your specific carb pressure and if required. My side drafts came with velocity stacks (the little trumpets) but I'm swapping those out, love the look but bit worried about stuff getting into the engine so I'm swapping to K&N bolt on filter holders and filters.

Also not sure about your carb but my carbs I had to check the choke size was correct for my engine size and also had to check the jets. My chokes were good but the jets were wrong because my engine capacity is bigger, (bored out)and it's cammed, running headers and big exhaust. I'm also located in USA. You can calculate the choke size (if yours has that) and jet size just by doing a quick search and learning from Google/youtube. Lots of stuff on my specific Webber 45 side drafts, again not sure for your model of carb.

In addition to that you might want to contact a Webber retailer in your area. I'm in USA so I contacted Dave at piercemanifolds https://www.piercemanifolds.com/   and he also calculated the jet size for me based on all the info I provided him with. He was very helpful for me and caught a few things I had missed. I also got an online fuel gauge to check pressure on the downstream side of the regulator and also looking to possibly add a third filter there too as I believe with carbs the cleaner you can get the fuel the better the carbs will run.

I also had to get a manifold specific to the Webber 45 carbs and that also led to proper rubber/spring loaded mounts etc.

Also if you got a second hand carb defo worthwhile to clean and setup correctly and get a good overhaul kit with the wearables and gaskets etc.

Also this book helped with "basic" level overhaul info. Don't see your ICH listed but you might want to find a good book for your carb also.

Anyway, not sure if that helps any but that's what I had to do.
