Repair panel question

Hi guys,

Today I snapped sime pics of the worst part of my rustbucket.

Can somebody tell me how are these panels called, and if these are sold as repair panels?

those are the rear chassis legs, you can get repair panels for them

Is there some sort of wall or something else hard, that should be on the back of this panel?

yes once you peel all the rust away you'll see theres a strengthened panel behind with the 2 axle studs in it, this is what actually takes the load. the panels i mention are just to replace the outer skin that covers it all
