The 5 speed box in our 87 cabby was leaking oild everywhere, so I souced a rebuily 7G box to swap out. Typically the box in it wasn't a 7G and must be from an earlier car? Anyway, it has the (early?) 2 spade reverse switch and the new box has 4 pins in a large connector. I've been trying to find a part number or even a place to source a new connector plug that fits the new reverse switch. Its basically the white plug in this pic and I guess it comes with a rubber to protect the terminals. Can anyone tell me where I can get one of these or what the part number is even?
Typically the cars stuck on my techs ramps waiting to have the box put back in, but I want to get the reverse lights working before he puts the box in hence the urgency. I've already found a thread which confirms which two pins need to be connected to, but can't find a reference to the plug itself anywhere. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Matt

You might want to get to know the ETKA.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.
Where are my DIY Links?

Thanks - I'd looked on broke vw and read the article on reverse light switch but haven't seen any part numbers listed. Is it on another part of the website?
And the ETKA is definitely useful, although I still cant identify that white plastic connector for the loom. Just one of those things I guess.

too late now but with the old box is out prob better to replace the 3 seals and put it back if leaking oil was the only issue
I think the case has been apart before and it was leaking from the seams. Seals would have been an easy fix for sure.

Brackley, near Silverstone.
The tech is going to lash it up somehow. Broke vw shows what pins to connect to, so he'll have to work it out if he needs it off his ramps.

Thanks for looking, but the part you're showing is on the gearbox side and the box already has it. I need the white connector that is attached to the loom and plugs into the piece you've shown above.
