Hot start problem, in this case immediate, where to start ?

1986 ( 155 ) 1.6 Mk1 Cabrio

( she's been running a bit ropey after storing her for 5 months, she seems to have appreciated some fresh petrol )

Ok, there's a myriad of threads about the hot start problem, but maybe this " immediate " symptom can help someone narrow down the possible cause….

She has a lot of trouble starting when warm/hot, as if the fuel system is flooded, give her a few hours and it's all go.

Thing is, after going for a quick trip and I turn her off, the problem is immediate. Turn off, try to start, difficult starting.

This makes me want to rule out " leaking injectors ", and maybe the " non-return valve ".

What would the experts here think, something is letting in air when hot or maybe a vacuum issue ??

( while typing this, went back to some earlier research, thinking " air flow sensor plate " ?? )

Thanks in advance.

Carb or injection? if injection then most likely is the fuel accumulator, they have a rubber diaphragm inside so are starting to fail due to age, I just got one from a 1992 audi 80 and it looked perfect but leaked fuel out the back, they have a small flat head screw in the back that when removed shouldn't leak any fuel
