Throw out bearing breaking

Ok few months back my clutch was slipping so i decided to buy a luk clutch kit and get it on there straight away i knew something was wrong because i had no clutch afterwards the mechanic that did the job said must put a thick rubber to space it out  at the clutch cable because clutch is new which didnt make sense to me but anyway i used the car like this for few month and my clutch peddle was really low and stiff so recently  my T/0 bearing broke I  put a new one in and it broke as well so i tried putting a coin in middle of the bearing and the finger inside the gear box and my clutch ended up being so smooth and perfect, peddle was back to normal until yesterday i can feel the bearing breaking again,  is it possible the mechanic got the wrong thrust plate for a 4speed gear box or should i try putting a longer push rod from a 5speed box or so, currently im out of adjustment on my cable. without the coin my gear box arm goes up until the 10 0 clock position but with the coin in there its at the 9 0 clock position which is correct .:|
