Hi Guys
The fusebox in my 1983 Golf GTI has corrosion. I have sourced one from a scirroco GTI 1984. Is it the same?

Yes bud. It should be the ce1 fusebox which is period to Golfs 1 & 2, Scirocco's and jettas.
To be sure when it arrives take them both out and look at them side by side.
Also when swapping components, ensure that all.the connections on the fuses and relays are in good order. Chances are that some may have corroded also so worth reading all at once…
