Fuel Pump Replacement

I need to replace the fuel pump on my 1.8 carburettor engine which is out of an 89 clipper, it has been swapped to a weber carb, is it worth or does it even make any difference to fit a non stock fuel pump like an electric one or should I just stick with the stock fuel pump?

No benefit fitting an electrical fuel pump for a standard Webber carb, keep it simple with the original mechanical type as less to go wrong.
