Front Wiper Fixings

Post

I've Googled and Googled with no joy so thought I'd try my luck in here…

The complete front wiper linkage was removed from my Mk1 when it went in for paint and I'm now getting to the point where I'm trying to refit it… however whoever removed it seems to have lost all of the nuts/washers and I need to buy new ones..

From looking at vw heritage it seems there are metal washers,  rubber washers, spacers, nuts and caps etc..

Can someone tell me exactly what's on each spindle and in which order they bolt in?

Thanks in advance..

Thanks matey I literally just found and was reading that link as you posted it..

Now I'm 100% sure I need the 22mm spindle nuts, nut covers and rubber spacers that sit in the scuttle.. Are there any washers/spacers under the scuttle?

I really don't recall a washer under that 22mm nut, but I am not going outside and pull mine apart to tell you.
Looks like there maybe one.
