I thought they would direct fit…..
You did get the right set of glides for them?

As the standard mk1 is different than the CAbriolet mk1.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

I believe the forward / aft lever has to be mounted to the other side of the centre run bar.

If they're mk3 seats then the legs at the back need to be moved in board by 60mm or so I believe.

Where are they not fitting  O_o

the drivers seat goes straight in but the glides at the back of seat pivot on that one .the pasenger glides are fixed they seem to want to send the front of the seat to low so when you lift the front up to put center guide in it tightens up at rear. hope you can understand all that

I'm currently on with this myself,

I can confirm you will need to move the lever position as it's on the opposite side to a MK1 seat.

Yup understand completely, I had a similar problem when trying to fit mk1 polo bases

If the centre runner will fit in the channel without the legs in place then the legs are too short, hence the angle problem. Looks like you'll need to lengthen the legs a bit so the centre guide runs straight.
