Ouch, some one used too large of a screw and it broke the holders.  

You could use long machine bolts from the front of the cover to "speed" nuts to place it back you would see the screw heads.  You would also use a piece of hose as a bushing to prevent it from crushing the plastic.

These speaker pod were very common in the cabriolets, and up to 91.5 were the same, scour ebay to find them.

In 91.5 they changed the speaker pods to a larger rounder type for bigger types of speakers….

I can't remember on my 90 cabby if the smaller speaker pods screwed in to the Map Pocket assembly at the door edge, but it could also mean that the map pocket itself is broken as well…
