What is this hose called??

Today I left my golf running for 10mins while I was in the garage. All of a sudden it starts streaming from the engine bay! So I ran turned it off and found this hose split!!

Would anything be damaged and where can I get the hose?

I cannot work out which hose it is but i would take it off and go to your local motor factor, they should be able to order one in if not in stock, i know my local one can usually have stuff delivered the same day.

Is the hose going from the oil cooler to a flange on the front of the head?
If so you could get them from VW a couple of years ago as mine went, I may be able to find the part number but my old pipe is in the garage and I may not be able to get there till tomorrow.

The hose in the middle with the 2 blue clips on?

As far as damage - it depends how long it was run after the hose split and emptied the coolant. 5-10 mins should be okay, based on the fact I once popped a coolant hose on a similar engine while driving to work, elected to carry on and arrived just as the gauge was in the red. It was the metal pipe and it had rusted through, so the rate of leakage might have been less than your big split though.

Fitted a new metal pipe and filled it with coolant, no adverse effects.
