Clipper strut brace issues
The air intake is too high as the brace sits on it and is no where near the strut bolts.
I believe it has an aftermarket Weber carb which may be adding to the height issue.
Is there a specific one for a clipper?

But it still might not fit your specific engine.
Picture source, golfcabrio.de I only found this pictures after 4 years of doing the same in my 2H.
