1.6 gti 83' cabby

Hi all might sound silly but what would the process be swap my injection system I've got a 83' 1.6 gti cab and was looking at a 1.8 8v kjet system?  Clue me up please lol

Why change it? There is no gain in swoping.
I think the 1.6 has a slight different metering head, the later k jet system was just tweaked a little over time, a anti stall devise was fitted and a enrichment valve if you floored it when cold which is never a good idea.
