World cup predictions!!

Hi ladies and gents,

At work we do a predictions spreadsheet for the group stages of the Euro's and World Cup.  Basically you get the fixtures list and predict the scores.  If you get the correct result you get 1 pt and if you get the exact score you get 3pts.  So….

You predict England 1 - 2 Spain

The result comes in as England 3 - 4 Spain

You get 1 pt for the correct Result (England lose - lol I'm a Scot  :wink: - and yes I know we're not even in it lol).  
If you predicted England 3 - 4 Spain however you'd get 3 pts.
If you predicted England 4 - 3 Spain you get 0pts etc, etc…

We also do it on goal difference i.e how many goals out you were.

Can I have a show of hands to see who's up for it before I put the effort in?  From your side, all I need is a yes and then an e-mail address at a later date.  I'll post up the predictions before each game and then update a table for us all.

Interested parties please post here.  I may even try and get a small prize on the go (not relating to the club's funds etc - out of my own pocket)

SSssssssh I'll set up a sticky for this and general World Cup chatter if it's ok with the powers that be  :wink: After all, it's only 3 weeks of our life wondering if a metatarsel or bobbins referee or ropey sending off etc etc denies us our god given right to lift some silverware

What I can do (for those that want it) is put everyone's predictions into the spreadsheet and send you all the final version.  You can then input the real scores game by game and the rest will be done for you.  It'll then allow you to see how everything is going for you/others game by game?…  I'll also put the table up for everyone.  Do you know what I mean?  Makes it more interesting if we know game by game who's got what points   …. instead of just me knowing  :dontknow:

Looking forward to this  world cup… everyone needs a bit of a lift after recent events!!!  Hope you English boys do well this time round seeing as none of the other GB teams managed to qualify  :roll: .  Bring on the world cup!!!

Looking good to make the competition interesting… 7 so far .. by the way it's all luck.  Last time our admin girl won it and she wasn't into footy… towards the end of it she was about 20 points ahead and checking up on the games online lol… as in… as they were stilll being played

Anyone think there are dark horses out there?  If Greece can throw a spanner in the works then there may well be others that can too  :dontknow: …. hope the weather is good for it.

Some of the games are in 3D… anyone watched one of those prem games in 3D and if so how was it?

I'm still keen. Looking forward to it!  God the day off for the 3pm kick off so its all systems go!

Nice one mate!!  World cup and sun rocks… pity Scotland couldn't make it  :cry: .  I won't be cheering for England but hope they go far.  Don't want ya's to win though or my life will be hell at work lol… lads will never let me hear the end of it  :roll:
