I feel your pain but as I'm sure you know we were left in it slightly with the resignation of the previous Membership Secretary. The Chairman has stepped up though and id dealing with the backlog. In his defense he's now waiting for me to get the new freebie over to him which is due in from the printers asap.

All I can do for now is apologise.

Ok fair enough but I'd appreciate it if my membership starts when it's all sorted, by the time this is finalised I'll of lost 2 months.

I appreciate the difficulties due to the resignation tho but surely stuff like membership packs should take priority over commissioning and distributing umbrella's?

I wouldn't of minded as much if someone would of just PM'd us an apology/update/ETA…

We all have different responsibilities. Have a look at our status and you'll see what mine is. I don't do Memberships anymore but when I did I realised what a tough job it was. Basically the umbrellas are nothing to do with your membership, neither are the mugs that are being sold or the badges or the calendars or the organisation of the AGM way off in July which incidentally is well under way.

All any Committee member can do is their best. It's funny but saying you're on the Committee sounds all important and puffed up but the reality is that all you do is run around helping people, spending your own money and time and getting no reward.

We all have a life to lead and with the best intentions circumstances change, sometimes without prior notice! This leaves the rest of us taking on the strain which only makes our own role harder. At the end of the day this is a hobby and when it becomes a chore or when we're placed under too much pressure then something has to give.

Once again I apologise for any delay but as you can see from your status you are a full member with a membership number so your membership has already started so you can take advantage of all the benefits already!

Anyway back to Umbrellas
