Whats your cars name??

It was discussed on a thread a couple of days ago that all cars are female… I did look for who said it to give the credit but couldnt find it!!

Any way got me thinkin…..

its called joan and my first car was called isobell or issy for short (as in is issy going to make it in that heap of junk )

I was told by the prevoius owner when I bourght it that mine is called 'Gertie' and was put under strict instrution to keep it that way…

I totally agree with you about the all cars are female thing, some times when shes running bad of strugling to start I find comforting words of encouragement help, like come on old girl, dont die on me now!! then if that doesnt work I take a leaf out of wooders book and start with the abuse!!  

from now on mine is called daisy

Mines a boy and hes called littlerolf sometimes littleB*****D when the hubby is fixing him!

Hes named littlerolf because my mum used to have a golf GTI many years ago which was named rolf the golf and as mine is the younger brother of rolf I named him littlerolf Very original I know!

Also have a 74 bay window camper whos called Bertie Bus (also a boy)

Not named the 5 door golf we got recently yet as it has no engine and I dont think you can name it till you drive it but think it will be a boy is just nick named new rolf or the green one at the minute!

Infact out of all the cars weve owned only had one which was a girl and she was an old E reg astra called emily!

sad as it is, when talking to her, i mostly use the term 'darling'
