travelling to work how long

I stay 5 miles from my work & on average it takes an hour to get there by bus… Bloody Edinburgh Council & their tram scheme  :banghead:  :banghead:

I just put in for a day's leave to wait around for BT to come and connect my phone line and my manager's just telling me to work from home!

update

just got back from my interview if you can call it that

took 1 hour 15 minutes to get there so not to bad wont need to travel everyday as they have given me an 8 berth static caravan to use for free
so im very happy with that

hopefully we will move down that way once the other half gets her job sorted :wink:

arcade manager for leisure link at coombe haven caravan park this has been my field of work for the last 12 years tbh

you get paid lots of money to drink coffee and smoke fags  8)

yes i did  8)  the best bit it i have 12 people that will be working for me so i get to do what i want as long as everything is all ok :wink:

5mins walk up the 18th and 17th fairways, 1 min in the gti! work and live at hayling golf club  :D

I'm going to try and get them to allow working from home again… I'd only do a couple of miles a day and keep good tread on my slippers… think fridge and back and tea runs would only work out to 2 miles a day… which has to return exceptional miles per (tea) gallon figures!!!  Don't like the thought of the MOT though… don't fancy checking my emissions  8O !?!?

I have been following this thread with intrest! Been offered a job in Heywood so i am coming from a company car to my clipper!its 140 mile round trip….hour and a bit there and back!
Concern is can the old clipper take it every day! :?
