thats torn it now with pics

just dropped her to work in the van and on the way i lost power then noticed the bottom pulley flying through the air

well guess thats the valves bent

cabby time

ouch. new engine time it's so much easier than new valves and all the boring lapping them in with a swisal stick (always sounds like a sweet to me "willy wonkers swisal stick")

good luck with it.

ive just bought a transporter t4 that has been run on biodiesel all its life and it wouldnt run, found out that it had a bad mix of bio in it, drained it put fresh derv in it, and a little electric lift pump and hey presto off she goes, it does need a new diesel pump as the lift pump has gone it it, and i cant find one anywhere, is your van a 1.9 or a 2.5 ben? it shoud be a 1.9 with  an ABL in it cus its the same as mine!! where did you get your pump from ben? paid 500 quid for the van!!BARGAIN!! the yamaha trike is in the back now ready for the snow tomorrow!!!

could you not try welding a bolt to it or even sacrifice a socket and weld directly onto it?

What for? The pulley came off on its own, the main issue now is the piston/valve damage!!!

i thought about welding somthing on there but im not sure ill get the gun in close enough also the bolts right in the crank so dont want to melt the oil seal

i thinking along the lines of drilling it enough to whack somthing like a torque drive in the there

opinions welcome lol
