Rip jacko

What I found disturbing was that in the interview, only one of the two men seemed obsessed with sex with children and it wasn't Michael Jackson

One memory of the Bashir interview that made me laugh was when he questioned why MJ rode around the hotel corridoors at night on a mobility scooter.

If I had his money I'd do the same, book the entire floor of the hotel and use it to maximum effect. He should have got Knoxville and Co to skate around them as well!  :D

Don't say the Bashir interview was the truth, Paul, and then the Jackson team went and made a documentary opposing facts.
Because you have no idea.

His bodyguard was on Five Live last night. He was there when Bashir pitched his documentary to him. What Bashir said, was nothing like we saw in the final piece. He was stabbed in the back. The interview was heavily manipulated and edited.

"Secondly, I cannot believe that he is not even in the ground and people are back to debating if he was or was not a child molester. Take a step back, and try to imagine how your life would have been if all your childhood you were not out in the street playing with your friends but you were being forced by your dad and brothers to perform globally with the Jackson 5. Your own father beating you if you do not comply. MJ did NOT have a normal upbringing or a normal family. When he got older and he had the cash and the time he devoted it to re-living his childhood, hanging with kids and doing the things that kids do. Did you have sleep overs when you were young, and top and tail or share beds with friends? I know I did and MJ just wanted to do the same thing. It was obvious it wouldnt be long before one of the kids got wise and thought he could exploit MJ and make a name for himself, and some money. So maybe he gave some of them alcohol, blimey my dad used to let me sup his beer when I was younger and at parties was allowed the odd babycham. MJ used to hang with Macaulay Culkin used to hang with him for years, but nothing happened to him did it?"

Just want to say, that's really well said. I've been trying to articulate it that well for years!

"Now that he's passed away those controversies, in time, will fade away but his positive contribution to the world of pop will remain strong, for example its reasonable to compare his influence to Elvis. Can't really get away from the media coverage this morning, and the impromptu tributes at Glastonbury are a good example here."

Paul,  :y:

Do we think MJ would have paid a huge settlement to get out of court, if he was innocent?
Firstly, answer this question: If your son was sexually abused, would you let the molesterer off the hook if he paid you out? I know I wouldn't, i'd want to see that guy spend the rest of his life rotting in prison. Gavin's mum took the payment and let it drop  :dontknow:

And finally, Emm, what are you trying to prove? As Dano said this isn't a debate on did he didn't he.
It's an appreciation of his life.

Anyway, i'm done now; i've said my peace, and paid my respects.

Honestly? i'm not trying to prove anything, but paying respects and public mourning on a MK1 Golf forum is a little bit weird. Going on the MJ official  site and leaving a note in the appropriate place (eventhough no one will read it) would seem appropriate, but who are we paying respects to via a message on a golf forum?

We are only typing into a pc then onto a Golf forum because its certainly not dignified and in private…  Its a case of bandwagon and public mourning which is everywhere.

Emm people are just airing their personal opinions. Believe it or not thats what a General Chat forum us for, General Chat.

And the General Chat at the moment is MJ.

emm, this is a General Chat Forum mate and as such the best way place for this kinda thread. I appreciate what you're saying and despite there being some truth in it you're also right in saying nobody will read it even on a MJ focused site so you've sort of canceled your own argument.

Basically it's cathartic and there's nothing wrong with that, so my best advice is to just leave this thread alone and view one that you find more your style, nothing wrong in a subject or thread not being to your personal taste, I've been there it's just the way it is.

Ok i really don't want to offend anyone i am just discussing the issue like others, although from another side of the fence.

The idea of contributing to MJ site is that i feel others shouldn't need to read it, as its personal and private.

But I can see I am about to knock the bee hive once to often…

i don't think aaron was saying it was 100% right, just that it doesn't make him a child molester.

Awesome entertainer, formidiable musician…..jurys out (or not) on his personal life..

He's our modern day Elvis or Lennon

His music will live on eternally.

RIP Jackson

From a music and entertainment point of view the guy was untouchable…. amazing music and amazing concerts. For that the World is a poorer place without.

Outside of talents, his life was rather tragic and flawed yet he was a product of what his upbringing made him.

And that is all I have to say on the matter…

Shamone!! (ok one more)

Does anybody find it ironic that the very people that were crucifying him in the media not so long back are now singing his praises??

Flipping blood sucking leeches, sucked the life and career out of him, then celebrate him to make the last bit of cash they can out of him.

RIP dude, and I hope the media leave his family ie kids well alone.

I was gutted hearing about his death, grown up last most on here in days of Bad, Dangerous, History & blood on the dancefloor for example.
I neve listened to the scum reporters and media, all out to make a penny Only person that would know is michael himself unless you were there.
I just enjoyed his music and his dancing which is what people should be doing.

P.s. your Ghost video used to keep my stepkids amused for days when they were little, beats cbeebies anyday

RIP jacko u will always be a musical legand who died not knowing just how loved you were!
My one wish is that your troubled life does not follow your children!

With regards to the jokes I dont think we have any right to judge or say it is disrespectful!  My dad died after a long struggle with a number of illnesses including cancer.  After his final massive heart attack we were told he had 36 hrs to live as his lungs were filling with blood, he lived for 3 weeks and during that time continually laughed and made "bad taste" jokes at his own expenses (and others as he always had)!  He even said he thought maybe his body should go to medical science to see if there was a good bit left anywhere!

If you dont like them dont laugh - simple really.   If I laugh at the jokes its not cos im being disrespectful or I admire Jacko less its cos its funny even tho not necessarily true.

excacltly, R.I.P JACKO, i was surprised how the shock was when freddie murcury died that was a bit of a shock but never really new much about him orhis  career he was a bit b4 my time to grow up in his musical prime but have to say i never thought my self as a devoted fan of micheal or anything like that but liked his music none the less and im gob smacked how it made me feel when i heard the news took me by surprise ansd it still dont seem right when i think about it now, the man was an entertaining musical genious and will be sadly missed but he will live on with out a doubt in the world of music

his life only seemed troubled as much as it did cause the press only ever wanted to show that side im sure there was alot more to him than a troubled life r.i.p
