its doing my head in at the moment, as i can work out why they drag there bum on the floor and are so high at the front?

Broken spring? Mine rides the same height front and rear, when empty. Perhaps the rear springs are softer than the front, so you end up compressing them more when you load stuff into the boot.

I replaced the rear shocks first with BOGE oil ones and I didn't notice any difference in height. Then I did the inserts at the front. I wouldn't have thought it'd make any difference but it did! It jacked up the front a fair bit!
The inserts were Boge Sport gas ones from GSF.
Then I had to replace the rear springs as both had snapped! These were original VAG ones but I replaced them with GSF ones for the cab, I made sure I didnt buy the hatchback ones. I think this made the car sit lower at the back.
All this made the car have a lovely stance
The sportline is the other way round, lower at the front than the back!
It has lowering springs at the front and one lowering spring and n=oine standard spring at the back 8)
I'm planning to sort out the rear very soon as I've noticed the shocks are leaking too!
Suspension…. Its all a game I' tellin ya

For the front clear 'correct' indicators you can get alot of mods from this site - I use them all the time, they have properly the best supplies of mk1 and cabrio parts.
I always email them with what I want, they deliver really quick..

Here is my babe…
My car is sitting on 60/40 Weltic suspension, it seems to sit just right now, but when I first had it, it sat low at the back on standard suspension… Coilovers going on soon - so can sit that car on the ground!!!
Hope that helps..

she starts to think will i be ok with 15 ins wheels on that i have at the moment?
I've had 15'' on other cabs I've had, after I had the arch work completed, I had no issues after that and I always had my cabs lowered to 40 or +

On the right of the site below the search box is a dropdown that says 'Wahlen Sie Ihre Sprache'
Click it and select English and you're good to go! No pictures on the English version… I just remember the links and then go back to the German version to see what it looks like…
As for your ride height issues, splash out on some coilovers Good looking cab by the way. I like your style…
