Nope it aint been resprayed. It is in grand condition.

I think the lower profile tyres idea is inspired and that will definatly been happening.  I will post the new picture on here when i get it done.

Will also get the book, may as well get another hobbie and this one will interest me for ever.  

Only thing i need to replace now is the rear wiper and perhaps clean her up a bit.

What are peoples opinions of black wheels on white cars? My firend recommeded it and i thought it was a decent suggestion but i have always thought that on most cars they look reasonably TAT

I think you're right to stick with the car, I love mine so much. The comment on grin factor is exactly right. I can't stop grinning when driving mine. It's made me want to cry a couple of times too but that's the way it is with relationships.
When it's looking good you'll find people stop to talk to you about it, it's brilliant. The hot girl across the road from me with a new golf even came over for a chat whilst i was polishing the car to a mirror shine yesterday!
I reckon keep the wheels too! I think they're called terantulas, they're original and original is best in my book.

I've just ordered poor richard's rabbit book for myself so I'll let you know if it's anygood for us 1 spanner people.

an original condition mk1 like that is pretty difficult to find! amazing paintwork for over 20 years old..

not sure about black wheels on a white Mk1, would have to see one to give an opinion

I have thought about selling my cab loads of times and yet i still have it!!. Wonder why?? :? . They are just great !!.

Wouldnt go for black wheels though i dont think it would look good. Like the others say lowered, low profiles and cleaned up perfect.
