A fantastic drive. If you have ever had the chance to drive one like myself you would totally understand why he got it.

The 1.8 goes like stink and it grips like a leech. Mind you the one i drove had big ol wide tyres on it and a few other tricks to tighten the handling.

Still that being said i still wouldn't wanna swap a mk1 in the condition that Drews was for it. But then ive got a feul injected soft spot for vw's.

He doesn`t infer he`s got rid of the golf,so I assume he s still got it.

Yeh. It's up in Scotland now. Had it about 3 months now and lovin it.
Can't take it anywhere without someone telling me they used to own one!

Think I would have stuck with the golf tho.
