so 47.1p duty + 13.4p vat
goverment total= 60.5p ie approx 60% of fuel costs at the pump go to the goverment.
every time the cost of fuel goes up they gain with higher vat revenue.
well that's nice to know isn't it :x

Recently worked mine out aswell Rov, a fiver (for five litres at mo) gets me 100 miles for combined driving. I haven't even bothered with veg oil cos I don't really need to yet, financially…not worth the hassle of clogging up the system and struggling to start in winter (I might decide to if diesel prices double though!)

Don't think that's bad for a 23 year old car. I don't exactly drive like an old lady either!! :mrgreen:
I always run BP ultimate. Tried allsorts of others and it definitely runs best on that.
