I'd say between £8-£9, going lower would be cheeky wouldn't it………just my opinion

Cheers, Dave.

On a £10 item i would offer £7. I don't think that is even near cheeky either, i think thats realistic if there is a best offers option. If i was selling and wanted £8-£9 i would have a £12-£15 bin with best offer.

I think 25-30% is normal to try and knock off?

It'd be a bit different if it was on for £50 and you offered £25 tho.

Well as the seller i normally drop 10-20% unless its been on for ages.

Anyway my reason for asking was i had a offer of £2 for something at £10 and i thought that was taking the mick!

Also has offers of £10 on items at £25 @ £35  O_o are people really that cheeky? all it does is make me not want to sell them it!

The best offer button is rubbish

As 9/10 time the seller wants what it's listed at so it bloody pointless

I know this isn't the case with you funk

You can look at it another way as i what makes the seller  think the price they are asking is right, afterall it works both ways.
Put a price, if it does not sell, so be it.
Lower it til you find your market.
But there are some reet one's asking way over the tops prices on thing's, even mk1 stuff on ebay or even here makes me laugh how they come up with a price due to rarity, yep the wonderful RARE word lol.
Anyway, i wouldn't stress over offers fella.

Some people just want things for nothing saying £2 for a selling item of £10 is outrageous! !! offers -10-15% is within reason but other offer silly money they should be told to do one! !

Cheers, Dave.

£2 is a bit cheeky but if you're not willing to reduce why advertise it with "Best Offer". I say that not you personally mate but to all eBay sellers. I will always offer a best price if there is that option at about 10% or so depending on how long is left on the auction.

:)

I'm willing to drop like i said 10-20% but 80% is a pee take

£2-!?
What a chancer, suppose you don't get if you don't ask. I can see why you wouldn't want to sell to them!

I do have to agree tho, if something's on for a tenner with a best offer button then you think the seller was still making a profit at £7- so it's gotta be worth a punt at £5/6.  ;)

And there's a lot of people that put massive delivery charges for small items and think the word "rare" means they can whack a load of eBay tax on it.  :P

But don't get me wrong theres still loads of honest bargains to be had.
