average age of a mk1 owner

I'm 30 this year and my mk1 is 36 years old this year. Car has been in the family since 86 and I've had it since I was 18.

Im 34 my cabby is 26 ,had it for 10 years now

50 here, have owned several mk1 Gtis since 1987...the one I have now for the last 8yrs

These long ownership details are excellent.  I wish I could say the same.  I bought my first Mk1 Golf at 17years old. That was 30 years ago.

I'm on my third, which I've had for about six years.

Very nearly 39.
Bought the mk1 as an early 40th present.

Bought my GTi cab when I was 22, now my dream of owning a tintop GTi has come a reality at 25  

I bought my first mk1 Sportline at 32, having owned several mk2 gtis in my 20s.

I'm now 35 and have settled down with a GL cabby.

I'm on the hunt for a Helios blue or silver tintop in readiness for my 40th! Lol

32 the car is also 32 same month too but i have started to age hell of a lot quicker since owning it!

I'm 33 now,  been into mk1s since I was in my late 20s. It started as a fascination with caddys and scirocco.  Now I own a very nice 83gti. It's my birth year so I feel a special attachment to it. 

Anyone as young as me? 20 & bought my mk1 as my first project aged 17, car is 26!

I'm 37, but my cabby was first registered on the 18th May 1990 which happens to be my birthday. 
Buying her wasn't an option! 

I'm 44….my golf is 33 and my caddy is 26
