I used 2ltr's of Nitro-Mors to do 5 wheels  

Took about a day per rim + 1 day for painting (the easy bit) but well worth doing

Total cost about £100 + rims + tyres.

Cheers, that's a fair amount of stripper. Mine are only painted in the middle so ill see. Haven't got them yet, they are in a courier van somewhere! 

Any recommendations on paint? I have mesh wheels and want to just do between the spokes. I'll start a refurb thread soon. 

i use childrens play sand, dry it out till its bone dry and use that as media in my spot blaster, i bought mine from mac tools but machine mart sell them also.

machine mart sells glass powder for use in a blasting cabinet. For acid stripping your local powdercoaters will probably offer this service for a small fee which will be far easier than using the current formula of nitromors(which is terrible!!!)
