After looking for last 7 months I've just picked up a 1987, 72K miles, 1 old lady owner, all old tax discs and MOTs, pristine body and hood, 1.8 Clipper. Its now in the garage next to the GTI, unfortunately the Caddy is now outside…

Cabriolet since I have one and as wiggly as the chassis is, it is fun to cruise in it.  I will say I really hate it when weather or repairs are bad.  But I really love it on the sunny days when it runs.

Having been in a square headlight GTI before during the glory days, I do respect the tin top as the original Mk1.

For me, the attraction of a cabriolet is nothing to do with posing, it is simply a matter of colour.

With the hood up, the world passes by in monochrome but with the hood down, it is glorious technicolour.

Sunny weather and a few days holiday in the Lake District. Had roof down for last 4 days and @300 miles . Tintop just MOT'd (passed 1st time of course :wink: ) but left in garage…. :cry:
