QUAD GRILL INNER SPOT LIGHTS

i used turtle wax (white) cos after most of the bad weather it was shabby the two days after i washed and waxed it with meguires,

ive got a quick clay kit, gold class wax, next gen wax, and fast detailer,

i dont use em all at once though, ive found that a clay polish is best if its not been done for a while but i mostly use that next gen shows best results for little effort but its each to their own and i suppose it depends on the condition of your paint, yours is mint so id use next gen matey.

ant got a dish washer so i might bang mine in washing machine  8O

Polish removes residue and restores the paint to original finish, or as near as can be expected, T-Cut is basically a very aggressive polish.

Wax protects the surface of the paint, give it its gloss and repels dirt and water keeping the just washed finish.

Don't polish out car without waxing it afterwards as you leave paint vulnerable   to bird lime etc.

Don't wash your car with Fairy Liquid as all you'll do is remove the previous layer of wax leaving you with no protection at all and only one layer of wax, assuming you wax after washing.

Yes they do but they sit recessed instead of being flush like the OG one

The picture above is a later grill for a mk1 cabriolet, it may sit flush on the early style grill as those are thinner but I don't own a mk1 tin top so can't be 100% sure.
Did the Mk2 golf come with 2 different style grills?

1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.

the mk2 came with 7 and 5 slat grilles, the spots differ between the 2 types. also at least 1 type of mk2 spots if not both dont fit the early mk1 grille as the mounting lugs are slightly different positions.

I know becasue I tried! I dont remember which type of mk2 spot I tried to fit to my mk1 cab, I'm assuming it was late as thats the only grille type I've ever owned, but no telling if i had some random 7 slat spots in my stores at some point. I got so much junk and half of it I have no memory of where it came from
