Only stuff I've seen on TV and off the internet.
It's meant to be very good but I don't know anyone who has had it done.
I'm a cheapskate so I just use exhaust wrap on my exhaust.

On paint, I'd love to see how that works out!

I've got this done on my daily, or rather Gyeon Mohs+ quartz coating which is effectively a type of ceramic coating.

I also have the GYEON coating on my Golf Mk1.
I applied it together with my brother though
Pretty happy with the result, I think it'll last like a year or something, might depend on how much you wash te car etc..

If you are talking about Ceramic Powder Coating the metal bits, if they are small enough you can buy the various powder coating colors and with a air sprayer you can coat your metal, then using your oven BAKE them. My Brother and I have been doing it for a few years, cleanliness of the metal is paramount and taping off the threads or holes is imperative. Also having a large oven….
My Brother has bought a large commercial oven and I have seen him do rims in it…
Now for the "quartz" paint I see the word Silicone.
IMHO silicone isn't a good thing around paint. If you later have a accident or want to spray a bit or bits, it can cause "fish-eye", and totally removing the Silicone is a pain in the Keister. This is one of the good reasons for self-etching epoxy primers.
I used a good clear coat polish/restorer. Followed by clay bar rub. A great Cleaner/carnuba wax, and lastly a good straight Carnuba. I get a good sheen, and it lasts for months, and isn't that hard on the pocket book.
It does help to have a buffer to apply and remove.
Easy to remove to repaint and no Silicone residue. My two shillings.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.

It is possible to get ceramic paint, the ceramic particles are within the paint and this makes it much harder once cured. Mercedes use this from the factory. It is possible to get refinish ceramic but it's not has hard as high bake.
I don't believe there are any ceramic coatings that can be applied like wax. They would not adhere.
