Lost DX short dipstick!

Hello this is my first post so hope I'm doing this right!

 I've just rebuilt a dx engine got it in and running sweet but have lost the dipstick! Can any tell me where I can get a new one from? I have bought 1 from from vw heritage with the guide but it's far 2 long! I need this ASAP!!

if you pull the metal guide out and replace with the later one then you'll be sorted. the early dipstick is long since NLA, part number is 055115611 but good luck finding one

I've got an old short DX dip stick if you want it? it's a bit grubby looking but you can have it for the price of postage
