Hi all…
As you may have know I was machining the ‘replica’ VIN plates in plastic, well now I have started to machine some in an anodised aluminium. This aluminium when machined allows the text to show through the plate in silver lettering.
They look really smart – especially the black one, which is not too far from OEM.
These are replica’s or replacement plates with the word ‘replica’ on them to cover myself from any possible issues with the law.
They are available in blue, black and red as shown above.
This is an example mocked up on my front panel.
Available to purchase from here: golfgtiportline.com

I got all my car info from VW Germany direct, but from memory (it was some years ago!) they needed my chassis number to give me the info - i.e. manufacture date etc.
Maybe off just the original engine number (if you know it) they can give you the VIN?
