alpine white ones don't ever seem to be cheap though

Are all alpine white mk1 GTIs, expensive and why? Lol 

I dunno just supply and demand I suppose, standard GTI's are starting to fetch big money and it seems mars red and alpine white are popular colours

They do look nice in white, I think the shape of the gti is something special, just looks 

i do like gti's in white.  Mine was silver to start  with i think its the contrast with the black trim.

True mines is in white, had a neighbour say are you going to paint that another colour I was like no lol  , and your right the black trim just makes it stand out love it,

Yours looks clean, mines still being restored had few panels done but hopefully will be getting her back in to the body shop make her look gorgeous again lol still a long process tho 

Just had complete respray BAZ GTI still putting it back together was originally silver.  All my mates said I shouldn't change colour and to restore it standard. Don't like silver and want near as I can 200 hp so it's getting abf on jenvey ITB's.Can't wait to get it back together should put a smile on my face.

So need a very good body shop to make her looks nice and fresh and all good, I'm trying to sort it all out as when I got her, she was full of faults after the previous owner had it stood for 9 years, so trying to sort it all out but I'm thinking of keeping her so want to make sure it's all done well, but looking at yours it does look 

I wanted to carry all work out 100% by myself so even painted it. It's not show standard but I'm pleased with it and when it's all done I'll block sand and polish it. I've welded both front sills/ floor pans, back arches inner and outer, wheel well, front windscreen scuttle, back valance and a few patches here and there. It's my first project but I've built a few group 4 escort rally cars in the past.

That good, as long as it's presentable that's all that matters,and you enjoy it, I had to get someone to do my welding as I'm still learning lol finding ita bit  difficult, and plus it was structural so had to make sure it was done to proper standards to pass the mot, but it's good to have a go a things so far apart from welding and the future painting, I'm doing all the rest myself and to be honest the guys on here are excellent they really have helped me loads and this is my first project and first GTI, but this is a good place to be glad we have this forum 

Deffo BAZ GTI our friends on this forum are pure class, get you out of all sorts of problems #couldntdoitwitoutem…

Read your thread and messages a couple of weeks ago!! Am thinking of selling a white campaign if u interested message back! Would prefer it to go to someone who wants a resto project

I need to edit my original post - the white tin top I was referring to has an EW chassis number (so it is a campaign)

I am in South Wales, but can deliver anywhere in the UK (for a price)

Or the car can be MOT'd and you can drive it home!
