VW Golf GTI Mk1 Karmann Cabriolet

1987 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk1, 1781cc, 5 Speed, Karmann Cabriolet in Helios blue.

I have owned this car for over 10 years now and used it as a daily car for half of that time. I bought it from a guy who kept the car in a garage and only drove it once or twice a week. I’m now living in London and don’t have the time to look after this car as it should be. It’s been a great car and very reliable over the years so I’d like to see it go to a good home. It’s great to drive and and gets looks everywhere it goes however the car would benefit from some cosmetic TLC and as such is priced to sell at £2000.

The wheels are original Pirelli P Slots and as a set on their own are worth a lot. The car also has all of the original decals along with Wolfsburg floor mats and Wolfsburg window winders. It also comes with it’s original fitted hood cover. The car has covered just under 198K Miles and still runs great, it performs as you would expect from one of the original hot hatches.

It passed its MOT in June first time with only a couple of advisories. There is also a folder containing 10-20 years worth of MOT’s and receipts for work carried out on the car.
