Description: I've owned this F reg Mk1 Cab since May 2009. It was my daily driver for 3 years and during the last few years it has been on and off the road due to a series of running issues (juddering when accelerating especially uphill, intermittent loss of power, running rich). I have taken the car to a number of mechanics and had many replacement parts (inc new injectors, alternator, head gasket et al…plus other smaller bits) but unfortunately none have managed to solve the running problems in its entirety. In June the gearbox packed up so the last few months have been spent sourcing a replacement and getting that, and the required clutch and driveshaft, fitted. As it stands, the stick won't go into first gear (but manages all the other gears including reverse). I was advised by the mechanic friend who fitted it that it requires a gear linkage and gear selector replacement in order to iron out this fault.

The car also needs a respray as the previous owners paint job has bubbled and peeled in a number of places (bonnet being the worst example). This was never a priority of mine as I was intent on sorting the running of the engine out first…but I imagine it will need to be done in the near future to protect the car.

I have loved this car and tried very hard (in terms of time, money and mechanical contacts) to get it reliable once again, but I have now run out of money for it, hence it needs a new home.
