Reluctantly I am testing the market for my loved Mk1 GTI. This car really is the ultimate MK1 and a quick add up of some of the main receipts comes close to £40k spent on the car over the years.

 



















It has been resprayed in the original Lhasa green and is sitting on staggered battle ship grey BBS RS's. I am sure many of you have seen this car at some of the shows and can appreciate how nice it really is. It has a rare rallye interior and an original 1.9 tsr lump with piper cam running aprox 160bhp. The engine has covered aprox 85k however the clocks say a lot more. Will have to double check. I believe the MFA clocks where replaced at some point giving the higher mileage.

The two last things i wanted to do to this car was get an original steering wheel and an original radio for it. The car really is almost a museum piece and she is stored in my dry garage and only comes out on a few sunny days. She is never driven in the winter in the salt.

As usual there are a few bad points with every car. There are a couple of small paint blisters from the respray and there is a scratch on the n/s front door where someone at edition managed to damage it . If she stays with me i will one day finish it and get these small things corrected.

I am in no rush to sell this car so £10k firm. Just need some more space and a shame i don't get to use it as much as it should be.
