reluctantly up for sale is my mk1 golf with a g60 engine conversion. I don't really want to sell it but i fancy something different and need to fund it so apologies if this is a half arsed advert 




really is a great car and plenty of fun. It's not to be taken lightly, although it's still a 1.1 on the v5 if you're 17 and intend on buying this and running un declared I suggest you don't.  you will loose your licence

the shell 
-tintop 
-mk1 golf 1.1 c originally 
-just over 35k on the car. mot's to prove, the clocks currently read 71k as they have been changed for gti clocks to give a rev counter.  The last Mot states just over 35k though
-never been welded! doesn't need any either 
-rear arches have been cut and rolled 
-fronts are un touched 
-not a single panel has any rust 




engine 
-g60 originaly from a corado 
-wired into the ce1 mk1 fusebox using original g60 management 
-5 speed 020 gearbox from a mk2 16v gti 
-4-1 stainless manifold through to a straight through stainless system 
-fmic 




chassis 
-pollybushed throughout 
-g60 brakes up front 
-mk2 disc conversion at the back using scirocco cables 
-front and rear strut braces 
-coilovers all round 




interior 
-not much! bucket seats on custom mk1 runners -dash/door cards and carpet 
-wolfsburg steering wheel




problems 
-the paint…. not me, that's how I bought it 
-the fuel gauge doesn't work 
-fuel and oil temp vdo's aren't wired in. The boost gauge is 
-does suffer from bump steer a touch but then all lowered cars do, isn't helped by the huge wheels 




happy to reduce the price if you want to take it without the wheels and/or seats (can provide alternatives)
