Description:
For sale my MK 1 Gold GTI, VW Mechanic owned- Ex club member of various clubs. I have owned this MK 1 Golf for 5 years, all mechanical and fabrication welding work has been carried out by myself.
The following parts have done 3000 miles or less:
-Febi bilstien top mounts
-Sachs gas front suspension inserts
-New brake pipes-flexi hoses
-Pagid discs and pads
-New gear linkage
-New fuel filler neck
-New timing belt - tensioner
-Plugs, oil filter, fuel filter
Original engine 1.6, 135,000, no smoke, knocks or bangs
Original Hella head front headlights- best second hand ones I could find..
Brand new steering rack, Lemforder inner and outer tie and track rod ends
Polyurethane steering mounts
Polyurethane wishbone mounts and NOS anti roll bar brackets-wishbone
Polyurethane engine and gearbox mounts
4 into 1 exhaust
Power hor from throttle body to metering head stainless steel
KN airfilter
All new bulbs in dash and instrument panels
Immobiliser
Bodywork:
Factory fitted sunroof and tinted windows all round, slight wear on driver's seat, original mint door panels with pockets, every switch and button is original, very good working condition, mint roof lining-no rips or cracks.
All welding work carried out by myself; drivers side, passenger side, rear arches. Arches were solid except for bottoms, so just cut the rust out and fabricated and welded new pieces in. Boot well is solid, originals sills solid, welded drivers side rear seatbelt double-skinned reinforced. Jack up points are solid, minor crack in front passenger sill-welded inside outside inner plus outside outer for reinforcement, 2 minor holes in inner flitch. Leak passenger side lower windscreen, have taken windscreen out found some perforations, cut them out, cut a piece out of a scrap mk 1 Golf and replaced and welded.
All the car needs doing to it is the tracking, exhaust rubbers, bodywork finishing, spray and decals.
This car will pass an MOT if you want to drive it around as ratlook.
This car will also come with a spare 1.8 engine, good working order, no smoke or knocking, with all manifolds, regulators etc gearbo, original exhaust manifold and downpipe because I've put a new 4 into 1 exhaust system onto it. Will also come with original plastic air intake from throttle body to metering head. May have some other bits for the right buyer..
