Description: A very nice original 76 chrome bumper golf just imported from Sweden.

39 year old car that has had 1 owner until 2014.

A sought after early model golf that has come from a drier climate where they do not salt the roads in winter. The car was registered midway through 76 and has some nice early features.

Starts and runs very well and has just passed its MOT for which it only needed a rear brake wheel cylinder as it was slightly lazy. I replaced both rears so I could be sure of no leaks and good brake balance.

The car is 1600cc petrol and stars and sounds sweet. There are 230000 km;s on the clock which is around 144000 miles. The gearbox operates well and steering, brakes and suspension are nice.

The car is fitted with snow and ice tyres but not studded ones so great for all year round use and plenty of life left in them.

Nice interior, perfect headliner, nice original dash with everything working inc time clock. Rear demist works and heating is very good.

The boot floor is lovely shiny original paint, sills are both good, rear end is superb and no rust in the spare wheel trough. The car has never been welded. There is a little rust in the front end of the offside front wing and a very small amount in the nearside but otherwise a really good car underneath. All strut areas are very good and free from rot. The doors, tailgate and bonnet are rust free.

Original chrome bumpers, chrome door handles etc. Original keys work all locks.

A really cool practical early golf that are only going to appreciate from here on.

It comes with both Swedish number plates but I have submitted all paperwork to the DVLA today so it should be registered in the UK around the end of January.
