For sale is my girlfriend's Golf clipper. We purchased it from a member on this very forum in August 2012. We were attracted to the car for it's lovely standard condition.
It has done a fantastic job of commuting to Manchester 3 days a week in all weathers but we have a baby on the way so have gone for something a bit more modern instead.

Overall condition is good for the year, the car has a weber carb conversion with a recent new base gasket. The only other issue we have had with it in our ownership is a failing alternator, this was a generic aftermarket item which was replaced with a second hand Bosch alternator with a new brush pack.

The car has a fairly extensive service history including an engine rebuild with new cylinder head in 2002 and a new hood around the same time. The hood is still 100% watertight.

Negative points include some wear to the drivers seat bolsters (pictured) and some very small areas of cosmetic rust. The hood could do with a new rear tension cable and some adjustment to the channel above the drivers door. It seems to need a few seconds of full throttle to get going first thing in the morning, but idles fine after that. It passed the last MOT with no problems on emissions or anything else.

Car could do with a clean, it polishes up very well although that doesn't show in most of these pictures!
