Mk1 enthusiasts might appreciate the fact that this Karmann Mk1 Golf is one of the original Cabrio "Clipper"
kit cars to leave the factory in 1988. It is fuel injected and is in great working order still. The VINcode is WVWZZZ15ZJK004630.

Everything that can last on the car is original. The shocks have been replaced and stiffened slightly, which gives it a racing feel. A brand new soft top was added 2 years ago and has been kept in excellent condition since. Matches the original specs for the Mk1 of it's type.

As well as the new soft top there's a new battery, new fuel and oil filters, new distributor cap, value timing has been checked, new cam/timing belt, brakes lines replaced and new rubber exhaust mounts added + welded bracket added for extra stability. I did have a stuttering problem at about 4,000 revs but after changing the fuel filter, cleaning the fuel pump, and flushing through the coolant system via the pipe at the bottom of the radiator, she's running very smooth and cool and easily does long distances now.

If any new owner is looking for a project for this Golf I have a Mk1 GTI front pipe and manifold included. Seals included also. This will give her a few more horses bringing it closer to the GTI powered Mk1 Golfs.

It is with great sorrow I sell this car, but I'm sure it will find a happy home to a member of this website. I have owned it for nearly 2 years, and it was originally imported form Germany into the Netherlands in 1998 before it came into my hands.
