1983 Mk1 Golf 1800 GTI TinTop Project car

Considering selling my mk1 GTI as although I have big plans for it, other stuff needs to be done first! I has only just come out of 15 years dry storage and as such is really solid with no rot / rust other than the spare wheel well and a small bit inside the sunroof cassette.





The car is a really solid base for a resto, track car or tidy up and run as it is.





My plans were / still could be if not sold to build a nice track car as it is so solid.





It has had a colour change from its original red to a dark metallic blue.


Front bumper and sunroof panel (same as a mk2, sirocco, Audi 80 etc).





The car does not currently run as when it went in to storage it was nearing the end of a engine swap. It is not plumbed in or fully wired up yet. It has what I am told is a good PB bottom end fitted but to be honest I would pull it out and put something special in.





Interior is in reasonably shape and would clean up ok.





Decent set of wheels and tyres, lowered springs with gas shocks, after market exhaust, folder of history. Log book present, keys etc.





Bit of minor damage to the front wing and is easily repairable.





Looking for around £1500 ono - could be interested in a swap or p/ex up or down for something less of a project.
