Description:
VW Golf GTI Mark 1 - Campaign Model. Registered new in October 1983, series 1 Golf GTI Campaign (EW Chassis). This car is completely standard in every way; interior, exterior, engine and suspension including all original information stickers. The original factory features for the campaign are green tinted glass, factory fit sunroof, twin fog lights, leather bound steering wheel, 14" Pirelli P slot alloys and 4 brand new Pirelli P6000 tyres. The only slight upgrade is to the original Blaupunkt Bristol 24 FM radio cassette deck - which has been professionally fitted with an IPod Aux lead into the rear of the set. The cars bodywork is concors and the interior seats are in incredible condition. The car has 5 previous owners, one of whom was Sir Robert McAlpine. It has covered only 104,000 miles with FULL SERVICE HISTORY. All stamps in orginal book (until full) including full information and wallet - the rest of the stamps are in a supplemental VAG Service Schedule booklet supplied by VW main dealer. The car was on display in the concors section at GTi International in 2009, where it was photographed for a leading VW publication, within this feature the car was quoted as being one of the best 5 original examples of the car. Since 2009 the car has been garaged and only run for its annual service.
